Audi cuts down prices

German auto maker, Audi, announced on tuesday that they cut down the prices of its models in India by upto Rs. 2.79 lakh in response of 4% reduction in central value added tax (CENVAT) that was announced by central government last week.
The slash in price of luxury sedan, Audi A8 is by Rs. 2.79 lakh and now it will be available from Rs. 71,15,000.00 onwards. The another model, Audi A6 is cheaper by Rs. 1.51 lakh and it will be available from Rs. 38,18,000.00 onwards. The luxury sedan, Audi A4 is cheaper by Rs. 1.21 lakh and the new prices start from Rs. 28,54,000.00 onwards. The SUV (sports utility vehicle) segment utility vehicle, Audi Q7 is cheaper by Rs. 1.85 lakh and will now be available from Rs. 52,40,000 onwards.
The Audi India Managing Director, Benoit Tiers said that Audi belives in providing value to the customers and hence the entire 4% reduction in tax got from the central government will be passed to the customers.
The Audi also has another luxury model Audi TT in India and has recently launched its luxury sports model Audi R8 in India which is already sold out. It is available through twelve dealerships in India at Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.
