Audi Q3 India launch slated for 2012

Audi has at last officially confirmed that it will be launching its SUV Audi Q3 in the year 2012. As per the head of the sales & Marketing of Audi India, Mr. Peter Schwarzenbauer, the new Audi Q3 will be pretty nice for Indian Car Market and hopefully it will hit the Indian roads in 2012.

Apparently, Audi Q3 will be powered with 2 Litre petrol engine, which will directly compete with BMW X1. However, BMW India already had a head start and managed to grab the title of offering the most affordable luxury cars in India. Nonetheless, Audi Q3’s major highlight comprises of its 4-wheel drive and front wheel options. With BMW X1 in the Indian car market, Audi Q3 prices is likely to be very lucrative and affordable. The new Audi Q3 is being manufactured at the Volkswagen facility located in Aurangabad.

As far as the appearance of Audi Q3 is concerned, the looks are no doubt stunning, whether its exteriors or interiors, both are chic and stylish. The exterior comprises of wedge-formed headlights, solo frame grille accompanied with wrap around tailgate. This kid SUV is perfect amalgamation of the elements taken from bigger Audi models.Audi India is also keeping its hopes high as it targets to sell around 5,000 cars in the country in the year of 2011 and around 30,000 units by the year of 2020. Audi India is also aiming to grab the top spot in being the best premium car brand by the year of 2015. But according to Mr. Schwarzenbauer, he says that their aim is not by volume, Audi wishes to be the top premium brand and this target will be achieved by the amalgamation of numerous other targets. From the January to May 2011, Audi has managed to sell around 2,394 cars in India, whereas Audi sold around 1,167 cars in India during the same time frame in the year of 2010.
