Unlike Hyundai i20, Hyundai i10 hatchback has been endowed with just a petrol engine. However, the petrol car has managed to grab enough market share to be one of the successful cars from Hyundai Motors. Banking on the popularity, country’s second largest car manufacturer has decided to launch the LPG variant of the car shortly, while keeping mum on the diesel option. One can easily expect an increase in the Hyundai i10 price on the LPG variant automatically.

The manufacturer ensures thorough reliability of the car with the branded LPG kit incorporated in the car and along with that comes the warranty for extended surety. The Hyundai i10 in the LPG disguise will have the same 1.2 L Kappa petrol engine to generate a peak power of 80 PS and 11.4 kgm peak torque. The class leading fuel economy of 20 kmpl is another point to soar the sales of the car which makes up for the slight letdown of being powered by the petrol engine alone. While consumers are moving towards the diesel cars to combat the high petrol prices, the i10 LPG variant is like a god sent help to overcome the inflation to some extent. As observed with Hyundai i20, the availability of the diesel variant has helped the auto major from keeping the consumers getting attracted towards other cars. Hopefully, the same logic applies to the Hyundai i10 LPG variant to save the dipping sales.
