Known for its small car supremacy in India Maruti Suzuki is also successful in sedan segment with its entry level model Maruti Swift Dzire. Now the company is all set to enter the premium sedan segment with the Maruti Kizashi. The car will be shown to Indians in Delhi Auto Expo next year. The Maruti Kizashi will mark the entry of Maruti Suzuki India into the D segment of cars and is expected to be priced at Rs. 15 lakh. 2010 Kizashi International model comprises of a standard 2.4-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine that develops 180 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque.

Same engine is found in the best-selling Maruti Grand Vitara SUV and is compared to a CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission) only. Suzuki Kizashi comes with all-wheel drive option that makes this an amazing model in the mid-sized sedan segment. Kizashi has already been launched in the Japanese and the US market. Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo are the upcoming cars in India.
