The Suzuki Splash known as Ritz in the Indian subcontinent has been recently rendered a facelift for the European car market and this celebrated hatchback is being introduced in phases across the continent. Some spy shots of the newfangled version of the car have hit the web. The officials from Maruti Suzuki India are being absolutely tight lipped about the launch of the Splash/Ritz facelift here; however it has been mentioned that the company has a philosophy of regularly upgrading its models.
The cosmetic uplift of the car would be a good step as Maruti Ritz is the second bestselling car in the segment and its arch nemesis Ford Figo has also been recently spotted featuring add-ons and facelifts. We will have to wait and watch if this newly uplifted car hits the Indian car market around Diwali.
On the outsides, the Suzuki Splash facelift flaunts well integrated changes in the front which are dominated by a single piece grille; on the rear the car boats of fake air louvers on the bumper and the side profile is graced by new alloy wheels.
The uplifts spotted in the interior include just the glossy black finish replacing the dull grey finish of the border trim around the centre console. The not-so-appealing tachometer sported by the running model has gone amiss from the facelifted version.
In addition to the much-applauded 1.3L DDIS diesel engine the newest version of the Splash will be aided with a 1.2L VVT technology engine. The Indian version of the facelift of Splash or Maruti Ritz hatchback could be bestowed with a 4-speed automatic variant this time.
