Recently few days ago Suzuki motors had expressed its desire to capture nearly 50% of the Indian auto passenger car market. Before this statement the company came up with models like Swift, SX4, New Vitara and Splash. And now with the latest launched Maruti A-Star this statement seems to come true. Instead of the existing hatchbacks this car variant gives very sporty looks. Features which the car a sporty type are its good looks, massive headlamps, attracting tail lamp cluster which seems very big and even looks to bulge out. Number plate is broad, bumpers are at slight height. Moreover the back of the car is much attractive compared to the front of the car. Even being compact the car is good with a large wheel-base. With wider front and back windscreen the car offers a larger area to view the road and the surrounding. Consideing the environmental friendliness of Maruti A-Star we find that the car is a euro 5-compliant with a 1.0-litre aluminium petrol engine. The speciality of the car is that it its CO2 emissions are even lower than the European competitors or more easily saying lower than 109g/km. It is estimated that the engine could be diesel variant and the transmissions would be manual of this upcoming Maruti A-Star and both would be manufactured by Suzuki Power train India ltd. Coming under the category of A-Segment cars the car is expected to range between and around 3 lakh.
