Maruti Suzuki might bring Ciaz by Festive Season

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker is now gearing up to bring its mid sized saloon Ciaz by upcoming festive season i.e September- October, 2014. If media reports are to be believed, the company might launch this C-Segment saloon by the end of September or by early Oct 2014. The festive has always been the favourite time for manufacturers to launch their products as Indians opt the specific season to buy their vehicles.

Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the saloon painted in dark maroon metallic paint had gathered a lot of appreciation from the visitors and is expected that the company is planning to cash on the anticipation by bringing the car pretty soon in the Indian auto market. Under the hood, the petrol model gets company's tried and tested, 1.4 litre K14 petrol engine that also does duty in Ertiga. The engine produces a power output of 94bhp and 130Nm of peak torque. While in the diesel model, it is expected that the company might bring 1.6-litre Fiat's MJD (Multi-Jet Diesel) engine or the existing 1.3 liter MJD (DDIS) mill that develops a power of 89bhp.
