Skoda India has registered commendable success with the big launch of its SUV, Skoda Yeti with 2,000 bookings all over the country. This overwhelming response from Indian markets certainly calls for more variants in this model. With this view in mind, Skoda India is planning to zoom in a smaller petrol engine and a diesel engine variant to Skoda Yeti. With this step, company intends to spread its roots in 12 to 18 lakh priced auto segment in India.

The company recently announced its all new SUV Skoda Yeti and it already has become the talk of town with successful booking of 2,000 cars. Sticking to the speculations, company is planning to bring 1.6 litre diesel engined variant of Skoda Yeti. The company has big hopes with this exciting SUV. This beautiful car is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a short time of 12 seconds and can touch the top speed of 176 mph. These are the figures given out by company officials. Moreover the version has five-speed manual and is available in front wheel drive. The next variant is considered to be holding 1.2 TSI motor. This model variant will churn out a total power of 1.4 bhp out of 1.2 litre engine. This wonderful version will take just 11.8 seconds to touch a speed of 100 kmph from nil. It will easily reach the top speed of 175 kph. Similar to 1.6 Yeti version, it will be a front wheel drive and will have a five speed manual transmission. As per now, company is in dilemma whether to bring this model on Indian road. They have sever doubts on cost of engine and Indian fuel capacity. These factors will determine its success in this market.
