The Maruti Wagon R crossed the 22,000 sales mark as the best-selling car in India last month. Its year-on-year (YoY) sales went up by 23 percent, while Maruti has sold almost 6,000 more units in October compared to September.
-
After the Wagon R, the Maruti Swift is the only model to surpass the 20,000-unit sales mark. The hatchback has demonstrated positive growth in both month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) sales.
-
The Tata Nexon witnessed a demand for nearly 17,000 units. This also indicates that Tata's subcompact SUV has received good response from the market in its facelifted avatar. Reminder, these figures include the sales of both the petrol and diesel powered Nexon, as well as the Nexon EV.
-
The demands for the Maruti Baleno went down in October 2023 and it slipped to fourth position.
-
Although the Maruti Brezza has performed well, with over 16,000 units sold and showing positive month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) growth, it is still unable to surpass the sales of the Tata Nexon.
-
Tata's micro SUV, the Tata Punch, secures the sixth spot in the table with a month-on-month (MoM) sales increase of over 2,000 units, and the micro SUV has also achieved year-on-year (YoY) growth of over 4,000 units.
