Volkswagen Polo and Touareg facelifts spotted in Pune

This festive season can be high on automobiles as the German auto tycoon Volkswagen Auto is working on the upgradation of its hatchback Volkswagen Polo and new Volkswagen Touareg. Both the cars were scooped from Pune highway recently, near to which is the Volkswagen manufacturing plant (in Chakan, 34 km away from Pune).

The new Volkswagen Polo would be loaded with steering-mounted audio controls. But it is uncertain that the new model will replace the unbalanced three cylinder engine with four cylinder diesel one. A four cylinder engine displacing under 1,500 cc will definitely enhance the performance and hence the sales of the car.

The ever growing demand of family SUV in Indian car market is most felt by Volkswagen group. So after Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne (VW and Porsche are integrated firms), its now time for new Volkswagen Touareg to hit the roads. But it would be tough for the new entrant as it was for Volkswagen Touareg to fight the aforesaid giant models who owns a respectable market share with their brand values. The company is likely to use BlueMotion Technology in its new Touareg but the hybrid variant may not attract many Indian customers because of hike in price due to battery pack.
