The Maruti e Vitara is the first electric car from Maruti in India. It looks rugged, features a modern looking dashboard, and offers a claimed range of over 500 km. In India, it will only be available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration. This electric SUV will be manufactured in India and will be sold in both domestic and international markets.

Suzuki has revealed the production-spec version of the Maruti eVX concept, called the e Vitara, in Milan, Italy recently. The production-spec eVX is expected to go on sale by 2025.

It is expected to be priced from Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
What features will the Maruti eVX get?
Maruti’s first electric SUV will get an integrated dual screen setup (one for the infotainment and the other for digital driver’s display). It is also expected to get amenities like automatic AC, ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charger.
What battery pack and electric motor options will be available with the Maruti eVX?
The European-spec version of the eVX has two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh.

49 kWh: Comes paired with a front-wheel mounted electric motor which makes 144 PS and 189 Nm.

61 kWh: Available in both 2-wheel-drive (2WD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) options. The former is mated to an electric motor which makes 174 PS and 189 Nm, and the latter gets a more powerful motor making 184 PS and 300 Nm.
The eVX is expected to offer a claimed driving range of up to 550 km.

Its safety kit could include 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake.
