Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric is an all-electric G-Wagon that retains its iconic SUV characteristics, even as an EV, including its design and off-road capabilities. The all-electric G-Wagon features a quad-motor setup (one motor for each wheel), delivering a combined output of 587 PS and 1164 Nm of torque. It also offers a WLTP-claimed range of 455 km.

Latest Update: The bookings of the all-electric EQG are open now.
Launch: It is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2024.
Price: The electric version of the G-Wagon could be priced from Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom) onwards.
Battery, Electric Motor, And Range: The global-spec Mercedes-Benz EQG uses a 116 kWh battery pack. This battery pack is mated to four electric motors (mounted on each wheel hub), together producing 587 PS and 1,164 Nm. The power is sent to all-four wheels.
Charging: The electric G-Wagon supports fast charging of up to 200 kW, which can juice it up from 10 to 80 percent in around 32 minutes. It also supports an 11 kW AC home charging.
Features: The EQG is loaded with features such as integrated dual 12.3-inch displays (one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation), voice assistant, and an augmented reality-based heads-up display (HUD). It also gets dual 11.6-inch rear screens, wireless phone charging, and a Burmester 3D sound system.
Safety: In terms of safety, it gets multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera with transparent bonnet feature, and a complete suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Rivals: It will be an electric alternative to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz G Class and Land Rover Defender.
